Please sign the petition below in support of the civil rights and liberties of the UCONN 26 – students who were arrested at the UCONN campus on April 30th, 2024 for peacefully protesting against the genocide in Gaza. Six months later, the criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace charges have still not been dropped!

PAKISTAN DEMOCRACY CAMPAIGN

The Community Alliance for Peace and Justice is pleased to endorse a historic letter, led by Representatives Greg Casar (TX), Jim McGovern (MA), and Summer Lee (PA) that was introduced in Congress on Friday, September 27th.

Echoing Amnesty International, the United Nations, and millions of Pakistanis, this is the first letter in Congress that calls for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and thousands of political prisoners languishing in Pakistani jails.

It also calls for instituting visa bans and freezing of assets against key government officials implicated in human rights violations. In addition, it is the first letter to call out General Asim Munir by name.
